I think I can see where your original thoughts were, but they got lost somewhere in the post. Basically to summarize your post, warlocks are now the worst PvP class because they have 12.5% decreased DoT damage.
Reverting it wouldn't fix any issues we are facing today.

Your comparison to other classes is flawed also, it's never that simple. You're saying priests can snare/heal/shield/dispel - well so can you (a bit less on the shield and heal part). Druids are hardly just about autoattack/moonfire/HoTs. Polymorph, while being more reliable as CC, is not in any way better than Fear, quite the contrary.

You're ranting about resilience issues which is admirable and to a degree true, but again, giving us simply some increase in damage doesn't fix anything. It's not what got us into this state, and it's not a quick fix to get us out of it.

CB seems a little clonky for me to want to add to a spell rotation at the moment. I'm still waiting to see how all of the talent trees play out when they're released before I make a decision to stay Demonology or test out the Fir.. err.. *cough* Destruction tree. The Fire/Imp spec sounds sexy but I think heavy AoE encounters spell impending doom to our little stamina buff and might cause issues. Maybe Blizz will love us and give our Imp the Avoidence skill like the Felguard has? Unlikely, but wishful thinking.

No one is happier to get a break from sb spam than me, but many of those talents just seem to lack a synergy, they don't seem to mesh as well as I would hope (i outlined a few points on your last post).

Heh whatever tho, I am totally looking forward to giving them a test run :)

It definitely seems like Blizz is steering destrolock towards fire damage, while afflictlock will remain similar in mechanics.

The new talents looks exciting, cant wait for WoTK to come...

But I don't yet understand why Blizz will want to eliminate lock from doing destro shadow damage.

So... damn... tempting...

Throw in the fact that the new destruction tree as it stands now confuses me a little - well, not so much confuses me as it seems all over the shop, definitely swinging hard towards fire love towards the end which doesn't excite me. In particular making Conflag seemingly tasty, which leaves me really wondering what to make of things seeing as its currently a definite no-no in a cast rotation... Buffing both Immolate and Conflag in the one talent really makes me suspicious, when by using Conflag you're costing yourself damage from Imm in the first place - is the buff to Conflag enough to overtake the damage you're costing yourself? I can see a lot theory-crafting coming as soon as they're all set in stone, I'm way too lazy to do any of it until I'm relatively confident I won't have to redo it in a few weeks if (when?) they make changes. I may even end up just ignoring the bottom of the destro tree altogether - much play testing will take place beforehand of course.

Short answer is that I'll nearly definitely take your lead and head back to my first love and level demo, then see where the wind blows me from there - especially now you've outlined just how beautiful Demonic Pact may end up being...
